Delta unveils new LEED Gold-Certified India HQ and Global R&D centre in Bengaluru

Delta has launched its 61,000-square-meter India headquarters and Global R&D Centre in Bengaluru, designed to accommodate 3,000 employees. The facility will drive innovation in power management and IoT, with plans to hire 750 R&D engineers, reinforcing the "India for India" initiative and advancing sustainability efforts.

Delta, a global leader in power management and provider of IoT-based green solutions, has inaugurated its new LEED Gold-certified India headquarters and Global Research & Development Centre in Bengaluru.

Located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, the 61,000-square-meter building can accommodate up to 3,000 staff members, including those in management, R&D, and engineering roles. Delta plans to hire up to 750 R&D engineers over the next three years to enhance its capabilities in developing power management solutions, IoT, and AI software tailored for the Indian market.

Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, Shri D.K. Shivakumar, commended Delta for its contributions to the state's technological and industrial development. 

Sharath Kumar B, Chairman of KEONICS, highlighted the significance of Delta's new facilities in reinforcing Karnataka's role in technology and innovation. 

Delta's President in India, Benjamin Lin, emphasised that the new headquarters and R&D centre represent a strategic investment in India's technological landscape and align with the company’s "India for India" initiative, which focuses on local innovation for global customers.

Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, noted that the new R&D centre will support the company's growth strategy and address evolving customer needs, with a focus on power electronics and sustainability.

The new facility includes a 480-square-meter showroom showcasing Delta's IoT-based green solutions. It features a 593kW solar PV system, a 300kW data centre with a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.4, and various energy efficiency measures, including a 100kW PV inverter system and 82 variable frequency drives for HVAC optimization. The building's security is supported by fixed dome network cameras from Delta's subsidiary, VIVOTEK.
