Cummins India debuts advanced power solutions at Bauma Conexpo 2024

Cummins India Limited introduced its advanced range of aftermarket solutions for gensets, construction, and mining sectors at the 7th edition of baumaCONEXPO India 2024. The portfolio includes innovative offerings such as the DATUM S intelligent fuel management system, OptiNAS+ hydraulic oil filter, and DGBlue diesel exhaust fluid for CPCBIV+ gensets. These solutions are designed to meet the operational demands of construction and mining industries while adhering to stringent emission standards.

The company also displayed its Cummins-powered CPCBIV+ compliant gensets, including the 125 kVA model. These gensets are engineered to reduce particulate matter and nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90%, in line with some of the world’s strictest emission norms. Equipped with in-built telematics, the gensets enable real-time performance monitoring and fault code alerts, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. They are suitable for diverse applications such as infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, residential realty, and hospitality.

Speaking at the event, Shveta Arya, Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, emphasized the company's long-standing commitment to delivering reliable power solutions. She highlighted the importance of these innovations in supporting India's growth in infrastructure, construction, and mining, while contributing to self-reliance and sustainability goals.

Pankaj Kapoor, Vice President of Distribution Business at Cummins India Limited, discussed the relevance of the new aftermarket solutions for demanding environments. He noted that these solutions are designed to optimize operational efficiency, enhance equipment uptime, and reduce project delays caused by breakdowns.

The DATUM S intelligent fuel management system addresses challenges related to space and accessibility in fuel storage. By integrating with the Repos ecosystem, it offers app-based fuel delivery, real-time data analytics, and credit facilities. It also minimizes fuel loss, enhances transparency, and supports greener operations through advanced automation.

The OptiNAS+ hydraulic oil filter improves hydraulic system reliability in sectors like mining and construction. Using graded depth density technology, it captures particles of various sizes, extending component life and enabling longer hydraulic oil replacement cycles. This supports sustainability by reducing waste and wear on equipment.

DGBlue diesel exhaust fluid is designed for use with gensets employing selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology. It reduces nitrogen oxide emissions, optimizes engine performance, and prevents issues such as catalytic converter clogging. The fluid ensures warranty compliance and contributes to improved air quality and reduced maintenance costs.
