Citroën Announces Pre-Bookings for New Basalt X Range in India
Citroën launches pre-bookings for its new Basalt X range in India, featuring updated interiors and tech enhancements, as part of its Citroën 2.0 strategy to strengthen presence and customer experience nationwide.
Citroën India has officially opened pre-bookings for its upcoming Basalt X range, marking a key milestone in the brand’s 2.0 strategy, “Shift into the New.” The pre-bookings are now available across Citroën dealerships nationwide and via the official Citroën India website, with an initial booking amount of Rs 11,000.
The new Basalt X range is positioned as a continuation of Citroën’s product evolution in the Indian market, featuring updated interior designs and new technology features, as indicated in recently released pre-launch visuals. While full specifications and pricing have not yet been disclosed, the vehicle is expected to emphasize comfort, intuitive design, and enhanced in-car experiences.
Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director of Automotive Brands at Stellantis India, stated that the Basalt range represents a significant phase in Citroën’s strategic roadmap. “The launch of the Basalt range aligns with our Citroën 2.0 vision, aiming to deliver vehicles that offer greater comfort, confidence, and connectivity for Indian customers,” he said.
Citroën 2.0 is described as a strategic initiative to reposition Citroën as an accessible and customer-focused mobility brand in India. The effort includes a focus on innovation, design, and improved ownership experience.
Customers can reserve the new model through Citroën’s authorized dealership network or its online sales platform. The global Citroën brand, established in 1919, offers a diverse lineup that includes electric and hybrid vehicles, such as the urban-focused Ami electric vehicle, alongside passenger cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles. Present in 101 countries, Citroën operates through a network of approximately 6,200 sales and service points worldwide.
