Citroen has expanded the variant and powertrain line-up of the Aircross X and Basalt X, making the 110hp turbo-petrol engine available on the base trim of both models. The carmaker has also introduced the naturally aspirated petrol engine on the top-spec Max variants.
Alongside these updates, the eC3X electric hatchback gets a 5km increase in claimed range, while all three models receive new step-up finance options.
Citroen Aircross X, Basalt X: Powertrain Updates
Both models continue with the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms.
The 110hp turbo-petrol engine, previously available from the Plus trim onwards, is now offered on the base You variant. This brings the entry price of the turbo variants down by Rs 1.50 lakh for the Aircross X and Rs 1.58 lakh for the Basalt X.
Meanwhile, the 82hp naturally aspirated petrol engine is now available on the top-spec Max trim, giving buyers the option of the less powerful engine with a higher equipment level. The naturally aspirated engine is also offered with CNG, although Citroen has not yet announced the specifications or prices of the CNG variants.

Citroen eC3X Gets 330km Range
The eC3X electric hatchback now has a claimed MIDC range of 330km, up from 325km previously. Citroen says the additional 5km has been achieved through improved energy utilisation, likely through software optimisation.

New Finance Schemes Introduced
Citroen has introduced a step-up finance scheme across the Aircross X, Basalt X and eC3X ranges. Loan tenures can extend up to seven years, with lower EMI payments during the initial years compared with a conventional loan structure. For the first year, EMIs start at Rs 9,999 for the Basalt X and Rs 10,555 for the Aircross X, based on a 20 percent down payment.
The expanded line-up gives Citroen greater flexibility to cater to different price points and powertrain preferences, while the eC3X’s range increase and new finance schemes add further choice. The updates also come in time for the festive season, an important period for new-car purchases in India.
