The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has appointed Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson of the ANAND Group, as its new Chairperson for the year 2025–26. Her appointment follows the passing of Sunjay Kapur, Chairman of Sona Comstar, who had assumed the position earlier this year.

In her new role, Singh will be responsible for CII’s engagements across the Northern Region, which includes Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and the Union Territories of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Singh brings with her decades of experience in corporate leadership, particularly in the automotive components sector. As Chairperson, she plans to focus on key priorities such as implementing regional reforms, launching district-level development programmes to improve industrial competitiveness, and strengthening ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) adoption across industries of various scales.

She also aims to establish new skill development centres to meet emerging workforce needs, support technology adoption among small and medium enterprises, and promote inclusive participation in the industrial sector, including women and underrepresented groups. Additionally, efforts will be made to facilitate sharing of best practices across states to promote innovation and collective growth.

Singh currently chairs the Group Supervisory Board of the ANAND Group and serves as Executive Chairperson of Gabriel India and Chairperson of Dana Anand India. The Group’s Future Tech division, ANEVOLVE, focuses on clean and sustainable technologies for mobility.

Her involvement with CII spans several years. She has served as Co-Chair of the CII National Coalition for the Future of Mobility, Chairperson of the CII Haryana State Council in 2023, Chairperson of the CII Regional Committee on Advanced Manufacturing, and Co-Chair of the CII National Committee on Smart Manufacturing. She has also been a member of the CII International Council and the Governing Body of the CII-CSM VLFM Initiative.

In addition to her CII responsibilities, Singh serves as Chairperson of the Western Region of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and is a member of its Executive Committee.

Her appointment is expected to bring continuity to CII’s efforts to support industry growth, encourage innovation, and strengthen regional collaboration.
