BYD’s Yangwang U9 Xtreme EV Hits 496 kph to Become World’s Fastest Production Car

An electric car has become the fastest production car in the world, setting a new top-speed record at the ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg test track in Germany. The Yangwang U9X eclipsed both its previous EV benchmark and the 490.484 kph record of the fastest petrol-powered model.
