BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, has announced a price revision of ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 on select variants across its electric passenger vehicle range, effective July 1, 2026.

The revision affects specific variants of the BYD ATTO 3, BYD SEALION 7 and BYD SEAL, while prices for certain BYD ATTO 3 and BYD eMAX 7 variants remain unchanged. The company attributed the increase to rising input costs, ongoing inflationary pressures, and continued investment in expanding its dealer network and technology offerings in India.

Alongside the price revision, BYD India introduced a new BYD eMAX 7 Comfort variant, priced from ₹27.90 lakh, featuring an upgraded 71.8 kWh battery pack as part of the model's refreshed line-up.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India, said the company had seen strong customer response across its EV portfolio and that the price revision reflected its continued investment in technology, customer experience and network expansion.

BYD's India line-up features the company's proprietary Blade Battery, Cell-to-Body architecture and Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control technology. The company has also introduced its DM-i plug-in hybrid technology to India, marking its entry into the country's hybrid passenger vehicle segment.

BYD India currently operates 48 showrooms across 40 cities and has served around 14,000 customers since entering the passenger EV segment. The company entered the Indian market in 2007 with electric buses and commercial vehicles before expanding into passenger EVs. Its Indian operations include two factories spanning more than 140,000 square metres, with a combined investment exceeding $200 million.

Globally, BYD has sold more than 16.5 million new energy vehicles to date, and describes itself as the world's largest NEV manufacturer.
