Bridgestone India Expands Retail Network with New Select Store in Tirupati
New outlet on Renigunta Road aims to enhance tyre buying experience with integrated services and modern infrastructure, adding to Bridgestone’s growing retail footprint across Andhra Pradesh and India.
Bridgestone India, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, has opened a new Bridgestone Select Store—Raj Tyres—in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Located on Renigunta Road, opposite Auto Nagar, the store was inaugurated by Rajiv Sharma, Director – Integrated Consumer Business, Bridgestone India.
The launch is part of Bridgestone India’s strategy to expand its retail presence through service-oriented outlets. The Select Store format is designed to provide customers with tyre selection guidance, maintenance services, and a structured retail environment focused on convenience and road safety.
The Raj Tyres outlet in Tirupati features a modern service setup and is intended to function as a one-stop solution for tyre-related needs in the region. Bridgestone India currently holds a 20% market share in the Indian passenger car aftermarket and continues to expand its footprint with retail formats that prioritize customer engagement and safety.
Bridgestone India began operations in 1996 and set up its first manufacturing facility in Kheda, Madhya Pradesh in 1998. A second facility was established in Chakan, Pune in 2013, and the company’s Indore plant produced its 100 millionth tyre in 2023. Bridgestone India serves both OEM and replacement markets.
Globally, Bridgestone Corporation is headquartered in Tokyo and operates in over 150 countries with a workforce of approximately 130,000 employees. The company provides tyres and mobility solutions focused on safety, performance, and sustainability.
