Bolt.Earth has commissioned a 1.5 MW electric vehicle (EV) charging station at P Qube Solutions in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The facility, located near NH-16 Cross in Nunna, is designed to serve local charging demand as well as intercity EV traffic along the highway corridor.
The charging station includes two 240 kW DC fast chargers, three 180 kW DC fast chargers and one 60 kW DC fast charger. These are intended to support electric cars, trucks and buses.
For smaller electric vehicles, the facility has one 6 kW fast charger for three-wheelers, two 3 kW DC fast chargers for two-wheelers and four 3.3 kW AC charging sockets.
The deployment combines charging infrastructure for multiple vehicle categories at a single location, with the installation positioned to cater to different charging requirements along the NH-16 corridor.
Jyotiranjan Harichandan, Founder of Bolt.Earth, said the project brings together charging capacity, high-power DC chargers and a strategically located site. He added that partnerships with site operators would be important in expanding charging infrastructure beyond established urban markets.
D Phani Prakash of P Qube Solutions said the partnership was selected to provide charging solutions across two-wheelers, three-wheelers and passenger cars. He also cited the availability of hardware, software and after-sales support as factors behind the collaboration.
The commissioning adds another high-capacity charging facility to Andhra Pradesh's EV infrastructure, with its location intended to support both regional and highway-based electric vehicle movement.
