BMW India Opens Pre-Launch Bookings for Second-Generation 2 Series Gran Coupe
The locally manufactured vehicle will be available for booking from July 9, with the official launch scheduled for July 17, 2025.
BMW India announced the opening of pre-launch bookings for the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, starting at 12:30 PM on July 9, 2025. The vehicle will be officially launched in India on July 17, 2025, marking the arrival of the second generation of this model in the Indian market.
The second-generation BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will be locally manufactured at BMW Group Plant Chennai, allowing customers to place orders through the BMW dealership network and the BMW Online Shop. This local production approach is part of BMW's strategy to make its vehicles more accessible to Indian consumers while maintaining quality standards.
The new model features design updates and technological enhancements compared to its predecessor. The vehicle includes a redesigned interior with a BMW Widescreen Curved display and digital services powered by BMW Operating System 9. The manufacturer has also incorporated updated drivetrain technology and enhanced suspension systems.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe serves as an entry-level offering in BMW's lineup, targeting customers seeking access to the brand's features and driving experience. The Gran Coupe body style combines elements of a sedan and coupe, providing four doors while maintaining a lower roofline for visual appeal.
The launch of the second-generation model continues BMW's expansion of its product portfolio in India, where the company has been building its presence through local manufacturing and an expanding dealer network. The timing of the launch positions the vehicle for the upcoming festival season, traditionally a strong period for automobile sales in India.
