BMW Group India Achieves Record Sales in First Nine Months of 2025

BMW Group India has reported its highest-ever sales performance for the January to September period, delivering 11,978 cars and 3,976 motorcycles in the first three quarters of 2025.

The company achieved 13% growth compared to the same period last year, with BMW accounting for 11,510 units and MINI contributing 468 units. The third quarter proved particularly strong, with September marking the best-ever monthly performance.

Electric vehicles emerged as a significant growth driver, with 2,509 units sold representing a 246% increase year-on-year. This brought the EV share to 21% of total sales, with the iX1 leading as the highest-selling electric model, followed by the i7 flagship.

Long wheelbase models demonstrated substantial market appeal, recording 169% growth with 5,720 units sold and capturing 50% of the sales mix. The BMW 3 Series led sedan sales with a 16% share, while the 7 Series maintained its position in the ultra-luxury segment.

Sports Activity Vehicles accounted for 59% of total sales, with 7,040 units delivered and 19% growth. The X1 emerged as the bestselling SAV, commanding over 30% of BMW's sales volume.

"BMW Group India has continuously succeeded in attaining high growth throughout 2025," said Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India. He attributed the performance to customer-centric strategies, product expansion, and enhanced aftersales services.

The company is investing Rs 365.6 crores in its Retail.NEXT initiative, upgrading 56 facilities across 33 cities. By year-end, the dealer network will expand with 11 new touchpoints in nine cities.

BMW Motorrad delivered 3,976 motorcycles during the period, with the G 310 RR leading the small-displacement segment and the 1300 GS/GSA topping imported bike sales.

The automaker maintains a healthy order bank and expects to conclude 2025 with record annual sales.
