Blue Energy Motors Names Anand Mimani as CEO of EV Division

Blue Energy Motors announced Monday the appointment of Anand Mimani as CEO of its EV & New Energy Business division. The appointment comes as the Pune-based company seeks to expand its electric heavy-duty vehicle operations and energy infrastructure network.

Mimani will oversee business strategy, operations, product development, and partnerships for the division, reporting to company founder Anirudh Bhuwalka. The new role positions him to lead the scaling of zero-emission trucking solutions as part of Blue Energy's integrated clean freight ecosystem.

"As we scale rapidly, it's critical to bring in focused leadership for each of our high-growth verticals," Bhuwalka said in a statement. The founder noted that Mimani's appointment strengthens the company's execution capacity in electric mobility and infrastructure development.

The new CEO brings 26 years of experience in mobility, energy, and clean technology sectors. Most recently, he served as CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions, where he deployed what the company describes as India's largest fleet of LNG-powered trucks. That initiative reportedly reduced over 10,000 tons of CO2 emissions and earned recognition from the Institute of Supply Chain Management.

Blue Energy Motors operates as India's clean freight platform, combining battery-electric vehicles, liquefied natural gas trucks, and energy-as-a-service solutions. The company focuses on heavy-duty trucking applications and has developed an integrated approach that includes vehicle manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and maintenance services.

Under Mimani's leadership, the EV & New Energy division will focus on several key areas. These include expanding electric truck platform deployment, scaling battery swap and charging infrastructure along freight corridors, and developing partnerships with energy providers, logistics companies, and original equipment manufacturers.

The division will function as a dedicated vertical within Blue Energy Motors, maintaining its own operational structure and performance metrics while aligning with the company's overall strategy. This organizational approach reflects the company's focus on managing multiple clean transportation technologies simultaneously.

India's commercial vehicle sector has seen increased interest in electric and alternative fuel solutions as companies seek to reduce emissions and operating costs. Heavy-duty trucking represents a significant portion of the country's transportation emissions, making it a target for clean technology adoption.

Mimani expressed enthusiasm about joining the company during what he called a pivotal period. He indicated that the role offers an opportunity to build what he described as a clean, efficient freight ecosystem alongside the existing leadership team.

Blue Energy Motors positions itself as a manufacturer of electric and LNG trucks for heavy-duty applications in India.
