Blue Energy Motors Hits 100 Million Green Kilometres

Blue Energy Motors (BEM), a manufacturer of electric and LNG heavy-duty trucks, has recorded 100 million cumulative kilometres of fleet operations across India — a milestone the company says reflects a broadening shift in the country's logistics sector toward cleaner freight mobility.

The figure spans operations by more than 1,400 Blue Energy Motors trucks deployed on key freight corridors across the country. The company estimates that the fleet has collectively reduced over 30,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, an amount it equates to the carbon absorption capacity of approximately 1.2 million trees.

The milestone arrives as commercial vehicle operators contend with rising fuel costs, corporate sustainability mandates, and India's long-term decarbonisation agenda. Blue Energy Motors has built its offering around an integrated clean trucking ecosystem comprising EV and LNG vehicles, intelligent fleet technology, energy infrastructure, and a nationwide service network.

Its LNG heavy-duty trucks are designed for long-haul freight, with dual-tank variants offering a stated range of up to 2,400 kilometres per fill. On the electric vehicle side, the company has developed corridor-led charging and battery-swapping infrastructure. The battery-swapping system is designed to replace a depleted battery in under five minutes, reducing downtime for high-mileage operations. Through an Energy-as-a-Service model, the company also offers fleet operators a path to lower upfront capital costs while improving operating efficiency.
