After the success of the first edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo last week, the government and industry associations are considering hosting the second edition of the Expo next year between January 17 and 22, across multiple venues in Delhi NCR, including Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi Convention Center and India Expo Mart.

Autocar Professional had earlier reported that the Bharat Mobility Expo will now become an annual event, with the biennial vehicle and component exhibitions organised by the automotive industry associations, SIAM and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) set to converge.

The Department of Commerce held a virtual meeting with major industry associations, including SIAM, ACMA, Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association and Confederation of Indian Industries, on Friday evening to discuss the dates for Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, industry sources told Autocar Professional.

Until last year, the vehicle and component expos were held as two separate events, organised by the SIAM and ACMA, respectively once every two years. However, from this year it has been decided that the vehicle and components expo will be held under the umbrella of the Bharat Mobility brand, and associations can own their expos and related events as a sub-brand of Bharat Mobility.

The vehicle show is likely to be held from January 17 to January 22 at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, while the component show could be held between January 18 and January 21 at the new Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in Dwarka, sources told Autocar Professional.

Till last year, the vehicle show and component show were held at India Expo Mart (Greater Noida) and Pragati Maidan, respectively. This year, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo was held between February 1 and 3 under the partnership of several ministries and industry associations, such as SIAM, ACMA, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association, Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles, and NASSCOM.

The idea of Bharat Mobility Global Expo was put forward by the Ministry of Commerce to showcase India as a mobility hub by bringing the entire mobility ecosystem on one platform, in one exhibition. Major OEMs, suppliers and companies from allied sectors, such as batteries, charging, steel and tires, participated in the expo.

Sources said the exhibition of construction equipment makers is being considered between January 18 and 21 at India Expo Mart. The dates and venues for Bharat Mobility 2025 are expected to be finalised soon.
