Bharat Forge to Establish Aerospace Ring Mill
This decision follows the signing of a contract with Pratt & Whitney Canada for the supply of aerospace components.
Bharat Forge Ltd., a leading global provider of advanced forging and precision engineering solutions, has announced plans to set up a new ring mill dedicated to aerospace applications. The decision follows the signing of a contract with Pratt & Whitney Canada for the supply of aerospace components.
The new facility will be part of Bharat Forge’s ongoing expansion of its aerospace manufacturing capabilities and is aimed at producing high-performance components for aero-engine applications. According to the company, the ring mill will incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies and meet international standards for quality and traceability. It is expected to be operational by 2026.
The company said that the project will cater to both domestic and global aerospace programs and contribute to India’s objective of strengthening its aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
Commenting on the development, Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director, said the project reinforces Bharat Forge’s commitment to the global aerospace sector and marks a strategic step in enhancing India’s capabilities in high-value aerospace manufacturing.
Frederic Lefebvre, Vice President of Supply Chain at Pratt & Whitney Canada, noted that the collaboration supports efforts to build a resilient global supply chain and reflects the company’s long-standing presence in India.
Bharat Forge operates in multiple sectors including automotive, power, oil and gas, defence, and aerospace, with a global footprint across five countries.
