Balaji Viswanathan Appointed as CEO of Alten India

Alten India, a subsidiary of the global engineering and technology consulting group Alten, has announced the appointment of Balaji Viswanathan as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Balaji Viswanathan brings close to three decades of experience in engineering services and digital transformation. Over the course of his career, he has worked across sectors such as automotive, aerospace and defense, telecommunications, life sciences, and industrial engineering. He has also contributed to scaling global delivery models and building organizational capabilities in various leadership roles.

Commenting on the appointment, Pascal Amore, Executive Director for Asia at the Alten Group, said Balaji’s industry knowledge and leadership will support Alten India’s efforts to align with the Group’s broader strategic goals.

In his statement, Balaji Viswanathan noted that Alten India’s expertise, skilled workforce, and established client relationships position the company well for its next phase. He said he looks forward to working with teams across the organization to develop engineering and digital solutions.

Founded in 2010, Alten India has expanded its operations to include over 8,500 employees. The company runs 11 delivery centers across eight Indian cities and works with global clients in multiple industries. Its services span areas such as digital transformation, engineering, semiconductor technologies, and AI-based solutions.

Alten India continues to serve as a key delivery hub for the Alten Group, which operates globally in engineering and technology consulting.
