Bajaj Auto’s total March volume up 25% YoY; FY24 sales grow 11%

The automaker despatched a total of 365,904 vehicles, including two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, in March, while it despatched 43.51 lakh vehicles during the financial year 2023-24.

Bajaj Auto’s total March volume up 25% YoY; FY24 sales grow 11%

Bajaj Auto registered 25 percent on-year growth in its total sales during March, while the automaker clocked an 11 percent growth in sales during the full financial year 2024.

The Pune-based company despatched a total of 365,904 vehicles, including two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, in March, versus 291,567 vehicles in the year-ago period.

Total two-wheeler sales grew 27 percent on year to 313,885 units, while commercial vehicle sales rose 17 percent to 52,019 units during the month.

Two-wheeler sales were fuelled by both domestic volumes and exports. Domestic sales were 20 percent higher at 183,004 units, while exports gained 38 percent to 130,881 units.

Bajaj Auto also saw robust improvement in its commercial vehicle exports, which jumped 42 percent on year to 14,630 units. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles also grew 9 percent to 37,389 units.

In the full financial year 2023-24, the automaker despatched a total of 43.51 lakh vehicles, against 39.28 lakh vehicles in the comparable year-ago period. Total two-wheeler sales increased by 8 percent to 37.28 lakh units, while total commercial vehicle sales grew 28 percent to 6.23 lakh units.
