Bajaj Auto appoints Ramtilak Ananthan as CTO, Abraham Joseph as MD of Chetak Technology

Bajaj Auto has appointed Ramtilak Ananthan as Chief Technology Officer, Bajaj Auto and Abraham Joseph has been appointed Managing Director of Chetak Technology. 

Ramtilak Ananthan, before being appointed as the Chief Technology Officer, headed the Test and Validation at R&D department of Bajaj Auto Limited. He started his career at Bajaj Auto Limited in April 1994. He holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, USA and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.

In 2019, Ramtilak was promoted to the position of Head – R&D to lead the complete Test and Validation function. Over the last 3 years, he has led the transition of all Bajaj products to BS6 and OBD2A norms.

Prior to this, Joseph was a part of Bajaj Auto as CTO and a part of Senior Management Personnel, till 31 March 2024. 

The company posted a 35% on-year growth in its net profit for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024, while its profit for the full financial year 2025 rose 33% to an all-time high.
