Auto Expo 2014: Nine French companies to be part of Supplier-Buyer meet

Mumbai: The French Trade Commission – UBIFRANCE India and French partners IFCCI, LUTB and ERAI are to jointly organise a Supplier-Buyer Meet on the sidelines of the Auto Expo 2014.

Auto Expo 2014: Nine French companies to be part of Supplier-Buyer meet

Mumbai: The French Trade Commission – UBIFRANCE India and French partners IFCCI, LUTB and ERAI are to jointly organise a Supplier-Buyer Meet on the sidelines of the Auto Expo 2014.

The French presence in India’s automotive sector is seen in Renault India and Renault-Nissan and some large component manufacturers who have set up production bases in the country. According to a press release, over 70 business-to-business meetings have been organised for two days with targeted prospects during the Supplier-Buyer Meet. 

The delegation of nine French companies will meet key market players like Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India and BMW India to mention a few during their visit. To enhance their field experience, an industrial visit has also been planned.

UBIFRANCE and IFCCI has also organised a round-table discussions that will discuss a slew of topics that include  ‘Indian Automotive Industry – Trends, Opportunities & Doing Business in India’, ‘Engineering resources and Reverse Innovation in India for Automobile Components Manufacturers’ and ‘Managing Business in the Indian Auto Component Industry during turbulent times’.

The nine French companies that will take part include Guillemin (Assembly and cold flow riveting machines), Nergeco (Industrial doors), Numalliance (CNC machines, CNC bending machines for metallic wire, tube, flat stock and spring), Favi (shift forks for manual transmissions), Assystem (Engineering & consultancy services), Simplast (Engineering & consultancy services and fluid-assisted injection moulding processes); Alten (Engineering & consultancy services with experience in supporting OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers); IFPEN (research and innovation and training centre); and Eolane (Electronics and sub-constructor design, industrialization and production for top, middle range and low-cost products).
