Audi Unveils High-Performance RS Q8 in India at Rs 2.49 Crore
The luxury SUV features advanced technology, customization options, and enhanced safety features. The high-performance SUV aims to expand Audi's portfolio in the Indian market.
German luxury automaker Audi launched its high-performance SUV, the RS Q8 Performance, in India today at a starting price of Rs 2.49 crore (ex-showroom). The launch strengthens Audi's performance car portfolio in the Indian market, targeting the growing segment of younger luxury car buyers.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, "The launch of the Audi RS Q8 Performance marks a significant milestone in our commitment to bringing the very best of Audi performance cars to India. With its impressive combination of power, sophistication, and everyday usability, the new Audi RS Q8 Performance is designed for customers who demand the ultimate in performance without compromising on luxury. The overwhelming response to our RS models in India has encouraged us to continue expanding our performance car portfolio, especially for our younger customers who make up nearly half of our Audi RS Q8 clientele."
The RS Q8 Performance boasts a 4.0L V8 TFSI engine that generates 640 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 305 km/h. It features an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.
The luxury SUV comes equipped with HD Matrix LED headlights, adaptive air suspension, and RS ceramic brakes. Customers can choose from eight standard exterior colors and nine Audi exclusive colors, along with multiple interior customization options.
Interior features include a Bang & Olufsen sound system, Audi virtual cockpit plus with RS-specific layout, and premium Valcona leather upholstery. The vehicle also offers advanced safety features including lane departure warning and electronic stability control. Audi India is offering 10-year complementary Road Side Assistance with the RS Q8 Performance, along with comprehensive maintenance and service packages.
In 2024, Audi India's sales dipped due to supply chain issues but are expected to improve in 2025. The luxury car market in India, currently comprising 1% of total car sales, is predicted to grow, driven by increasing demand for luxury vehicles. The launch strengthens Audi's performance car portfolio in the Indian market, targeting the growing segment of younger luxury car buyers.
