The Q8 e-tron will be available in two body types: the SUV and the Sportback. Both will have a 114 kW battery, which will give them a longer range than the current e-tron.
German luxury car maker Audi will launch the Q8 e-tron electric SUV in India next month as part of its efforts to expand its electric vehicle lineup in the country.
The Q8 e-tron will be available in two body types: the SUV and the Sportback. Both will have a 114 kW battery, giving them a longer range than the current e-tron.
Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon told the news agency PTI that the Q8 e-tron is being launched in India in the same cycle as it is being launched globally, underscoring the significance of the Indian market.
Audi India's current lineup of electric vehicles includes the e-tron 50, the e-tron 55, the e-tron Sportback 55, the e-tron GT, and the RS e-tron GT. The Q8 e-tron will be brought into the country as a completely built unit.
The launch of the Q8 e-tron comes at a time when Audi is seeing strong demand for its cars in India. In the first six months of 2023, Audi has sold 3,474 units, registering a growth of 97% compared to the same period last year.
Audi Approved Plus, the company's pre-owned car business, has also seen strong growth, with sales up 53% in the first six months of 2023.
