Audi Launches Audi SQ8 in India at ₹1.77 Crore

Audi India said the launch is aimed at addressing demand for performance-oriented luxury SUVs in the country.

Audi Launches Audi SQ8 in India at ₹1.77 Crore

Audi India has launched the Audi SQ8, a performance-oriented SUV positioned between the Q8 and the RS Q8 Performance in its India lineup. The model is priced at ₹1,77,72,000 (ex-showroom) and is aimed at strengthening the brand’s presence in the premium performance SUV segment.

Powertrain and Performance

The Audi SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine that delivers 373 kW of power and 770 Nm of torque. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

It features quattro permanent all-wheel drive with a self-locking centre differential. Other performance-focused systems include adaptive air suspension sport with continuous damping control, all-wheel steering, and an S-specific sport exhaust system. An optional advanced suspension package offers active roll stabilisation and a quattro sport differential.

Exterior Design and Features

The exterior is equipped with HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light technology and multiple light signatures. The SUV gets S-specific bumpers, illuminated door sill trims, and a Singleframe grille with an aluminium-look finish.

Other standard elements include frameless doors and a panoramic sunroof. Optional features include 22-inch alloy wheels in multiple designs, ceramic brakes, and styling packages such as Carbon Style and Black Styling variants.

Inside, the SQ8 comes with sport seats finished in Dinamica microfiber and leather upholstery with S embossing. Optional upgrades include sport seats plus in Valcona leather with heating, ventilation, and massage functions for front passengers, along with rear seat heating.

The SUV features a flat-bottom multifunction sport steering wheel with paddle shifters. It is equipped with Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus and MMI Navigation Plus with touch response.

The audio system is a Bang & Olufsen 3D premium setup with 17 speakers, a 730-watt output, and a 16-channel amplifier. The cabin also includes ambient lighting with 30 colour options and multiple inlay choices, including brushed aluminium and wood finishes.

The SQ8 offers four-zone automatic climate control with optional ioniser and fragrance function. It also includes park assist with 360-degree cameras, power latching doors, an electrically operated luggage compartment lid, and a wireless charging-enabled Audi Phone Box.

Optional features include adaptive windshield wipers with integrated washer jets.

Safety features include eight airbags, cruise control with speed limiter, and Audi Pre Sense Basic. Optional driver assistance systems include night vision assist, a head-up display, and lane departure warning.

The Audi SQ8 is available in eight exterior colours, including Mythos Black, Daytona Grey, Glacier White, Ascari Blue, Chilli Red, Sakhir Gold, Satellite Silver, and Waitomo Blue. Audi also offers additional customisation through its Audi Exclusive programme.

The model is offered with a 10-year complimentary roadside assistance package, along with service and maintenance plans.
