Atlas Copco, a provider of compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools, and assembly systems, showcased its range of wastewater treatment solutions at IFAT India 2024. The company highlighted products aimed at reducing CO2 emissions while delivering cost-effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible solutions.

Among the products on display were ZS blowers, ZB VSD+ high-speed turbo blowers, ZM multistage centrifugal air blowers, and exhausters. Each product is designed to enhance wastewater treatment efficiency, improve control, and lower breaker rates while increasing energy efficiency.

The ZS blower is suited for compact, low-maintenance applications. The ZB VSD+ high-speed turbo blower is designed for large-scale aeration applications, delivering low-pressure compressed air with minimal energy consumption. The ZM multistage centrifugal air blower and exhauster cater to various low-pressure and vacuum demands for high-flow volumes in different operations involving air, gas, pressure, or vacuum. These products are equipped with advanced controllers and remote monitoring features, allowing operators to manage processes efficiently, reduce breakdowns, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Alexander Pavlov, General Manager of Atlas Copco Compressors Customer Center in India, stated, "Aerobic treatments account for up to 70% of energy consumption in a wastewater treatment plant. Reducing energy costs is crucial to lowering operational expenses and CO2 emissions. Our blowers and low-pressure compressors are designed with this in mind, offering fast payback for our customers. Our in-house developed solutions ensure efficiency and reliability, meeting the specific needs of our customers for sustainable wastewater treatment."
