Atlas Copco India Appoints Bhavin Pandya as Compressor Technique General Manager

Pandya returns to India after leading Eastern European operations, bringing over three decades of experience to drive growth in the country's expanding industrial manufacturing sector.

Atlas Copco Group has appointed Bhavin Pandya as General Manager for its Compressor Technique Customer Center in India, marking his return to the country after leading operations in Eastern Europe.

Pandya, who began his career with Atlas Copco in 2004, brings extensive experience from various leadership positions within the organization. His roles have included Operations Manager for the Gas & Process Division, Head of Sourcing for Product Companies, and General Manager of Industrial Technique in India.

From 2019, Pandya was based in Prague, where he served as General Manager of the Customer Centre for Industrial Technique across Eastern Europe, overseeing operations in 16 countries while also serving as Managing Director of the local entity.

A mechanical engineer with an MBA from Nirma Institute of Management, Pandya has over 30 years of industry experience, including nine years before joining Atlas Copco in compressor application engineering, product marketing, and service sales functions.

Speaking about his appointment, Pandya expressed enthusiasm about returning to India during a period of significant transformation. He emphasized his commitment to working with customers, business partners, and the Atlas Copco team to deliver solutions focused on uptime, energy efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and improved customer experience.

In his new role, Pandya will focus on strengthening customer relationships, expanding the company's product portfolio, and building a future-ready enterprise as Atlas Copco pursues its next phase of growth in the Indian market.

Atlas Copco (India) Pvt Ltd., which began operations in 1960, has offices across India with its registered office in Pune. The company employs over 3,800 people and reported revenues of approximately INR 5,790 crore as of March 31, 2025.

The global Atlas Copco Group specializes in air and gas compression, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools, and assembly systems. In 2024, the group reported revenues of BSEK 177 with approximately 55,000 employees worldwide.
