In a step aimed at increasing the charging infrastructure, Ather Energy will be setting up 1,000 fast chargers across Karnataka.
After meeting the chief minister of Karnataka, B S Bommai, Tarun Mehta, the co-founder of Ather Energy in a tweet said, "Walked in with an intent to intro us, walked out with a joint MoU committing 1,000 Ather fast chargers across the state."

In December 2021, Ather partnered with Tamil Nadu-based Zeon Charging to collectively accelerate the pace of expansion of their public charging network. Through that partnership, Ather will install its Ather Grid points in existing and future Zeon Charging stations. Zeon in turn will work with Ather to install four-wheeler chargers at existing Ather Grid locations wherever possible.
In August 2021, Ather opened its proprietary charging connector to other two-wheel manufacturers. In late 2021, the company also commissioned its second manufacturing facility in Hosur, which is slated to be ready by 2022. The company plans to manufacture 400,000 units per annum. Its current capacity is 120,000 units.
