Aston Martin has announced significant price reduction of up to Rs 4.02 crore across its models in India following the implementation of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The British marque brand has lowered the prices of Vantage, DB12, DBX and Vanquish line-up, making it the latest luxury automaker to pass on the benefits of lower import duties under the FTA agreement to customers.
The flagship Vanquish Volante saw the largest price reduction, with its price being dropped to Rs 6.90 crore from Rs 10.92 crore. The price of Vanquish coupe has been reduced by Rs 3.71 crore, while the DBX S and DB12 S ranges have become cheaper by up to Rs 2.65 crore and Rs 2.64 crore, respectively.
At the entry point of Aston Martin's portfolio, the Vantage S and Vantage S Roadster is now retailed at Rs 3.15 crore and Rs 3.35 crore, following a price cut of Rs 1.84 crore and Rs 1.91 crore, respectively.
The move follows similar announcements from other British luxury manufacturers after the FTA came into effect. Jaguar Land Rover was the first to revise prices, reducing those of the Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV, while McLaren subsequently announced lower prices across its 750S range. Bentley has also begun accepting orders for the Bentayga at revised prices, although the rest of its portfolio is yet to benefit from the agreement.
The India-UK FTA is expected to improve the competitiveness of British automotive brands in the country's luxury vehicle market by lowering the price of imported models. The agreement presents an opportunity to expand their customer base and strengthen their position in the growing ultra-luxury segment through more competitive pricing.
