Ashok Leyland total sales up 10% to 12,974 units in April
The growth was on the back of healthy fleet availability, led by demand from construction-led activities, auto carriers, white goods, and FMCG products.
Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland on Tuesday reported a 10 percent increase in total sales to 12,974 units in April 2023, as compared to 11,847 units in the same month last year.
The growth was on the back of healthy fleet availability led by demand from construction-led activities, auto carriers, white goods, and FMCG products.
At present, the fleet utilisation rate stands at around 80 percent. Domestic sales also rose 10 percent last month to 12,366 units, as compared to 11,197 units in April 2022. During the month under review, light commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 4,944 units as compared to 4,124 units in April 2022.
Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales were also up 5 percent last month at 7,422 units, as compared to 7,073 units in April 2022.
