Yash Munot, who served as AIFI’s Vice-President from 2020 to 2024, is the youngest to assume the role of President in the organisation’s history. He takes over from Vikas Bajaj, who held the position from 2020 to 2024.

He entered the forging industry in 2005, joining the family business at Varsha Forgings. In addition to his industrial roles, Munot is involved in several other sectors including lifestyle products, health food, hospitality, and philanthropy, such as supporting an orphanage and distributing medical aid during the pandemic.

Throughout his time at AIFI, Munot has been involved in organising key industry events like IFC 2011, Forgetech India 2016, Asia Forge 2019, and ForgeTech India 2023. In a statement, Munot said, "I am honored to take on the role of President. The forging sector in India is at a critical point, with opportunities for innovation and growth. Our aim will be to foster industry collaboration, advance technology, and promote sustainable practices. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to strengthen our industry's global presence."

S. Ravishankar, the newly elected Vice-President, expressed his commitment to working with Munot and the AIFI team to support the industry's development in a rapidly changing global environment. He emphasized the need to enhance competitiveness, drive innovation, and prepare members for future opportunities.

Ravishankar is the Managing Director at Super Auto Forge Private Limited. With over 25 years of experience in the auto component manufacturing sector, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Annamalai University and a Master's degree from The Ohio State University. After two years working in Detroit, he joined Super Auto Forge in 1997.
