Škoda Auto India has achieved a network expansion milestone by establishing 300 customer touchpoints across 172 cities nationwide, marking a significant step in the company's growth strategy as it celebrates 25 years of operations in India.
The expansion comes after the automaker recorded its highest half-yearly sales figures in the first half of 2025, demonstrating strong momentum in the Indian market. The network growth reflects Škoda Auto's commitment to improving customer accessibility and service quality across the country.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Škoda Auto India, emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion. The growing network makes the product range more accessible to customers while enabling faster service delivery with consistent quality standards. The company has focused on strengthening relationships with existing dealer partners while bringing new partners into the network.
The expansion strategy has concentrated heavily on Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, which now represent 75 percent of the total 300 touchpoints. Over the past nine months, Škoda Auto has entered more than 30 new cities, with 86 percent of this expansion occurring in smaller urban centers. This approach aims to reduce travel time for customers seeking sales and service support while maintaining quality standards.
The enhanced network capabilities enable Škoda Auto to service 550,000 vehicles annually across its facilities. This expansion directly supports the company's current product lineup, which includes the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq models, positioning the brand as offering "an SUV for everyone" in the Indian market.
The network expansion aligns with Škoda Auto's broader India strategy of deepening presence in Tier 1 markets while expanding reach in smaller cities. The Kylaq model serves as a key driver for attracting new customers in previously underserved markets, complementing the established Kushaq and Kodiaq SUVs alongside the Slavia sedan.
To enhance the ownership experience, Škoda Auto India provides comprehensive warranty, maintenance, and roadside assistance packages. The company offers the Škoda Supercare maintenance package complimentary for one year with every vehicle purchase, with the first routine service expense occurring only in the second year of ownership or at 30,000 kilometers.
The milestone achievement occurs during Škoda Auto's 25th anniversary in India and coincides with the global company's 130-year history. Škoda Auto, part of the Volkswagen Group, delivered more than 926,000 vehicles worldwide in 2024 and operates in almost 100 markets globally.
The Czech automaker's India operations began in 2001 and the company now employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide. The expansion reflects the company's "Next Level -- Škoda Strategy 2030" initiative, which aims to establish the brand among Europe's top three best-selling automotive brands while exploiting growth potential in key markets including India, North Africa, Vietnam, and the ASEAN region.
