Skoda Auto India Records 107% Growth in 2025, Sells 72,665 Units

Skoda Auto India closed 2025 with sales of 72,665 units, registering a 107% increase from 35,166 units sold in 2024. The performance marks the company's strongest year since it entered the Indian market in 2001.

The company sold 5,567 units in December 2025, maintaining growth momentum after recording 5,491 units in November 2025. The November figure represented a 90% increase compared to the same month in 2024.

The Kylaq emerged as a primary growth driver for Skoda during the year, expanding the brand's reach in the compact SUV segment. The company also sold limited editions of the Kushaq and Slavia, while the Kodiaq strengthened its position in the premium SUV category.

The return of the Octavia RS generated significant interest, with all 100 units of the performance sedan selling out shortly after orders opened. The company continues to offer four models in India: Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq.

Skoda Auto India expanded its retail presence to over 325 customer touchpoints across 183 cities during 2025. The company increased its combined sales and aftersales workforce at dealerships to over 7,500 professionals, supported by more than 25,000 training days during the year.

The company also crossed the milestone of selling over 200,000 locally produced cars since 2021 and achieved cumulative sales of 500,000 vehicles since entering India.

The automaker introduced extended standard warranties across its model range and implemented feature upgrades aimed at reducing ownership costs. The company became the first large Skoda market globally to complete 100% rebranding of its network with updated corporate identity and design.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Skoda Auto India, said the company plans to continue its momentum in 2026 with new product introductions, expanded sales and aftersales initiatives, and deeper market penetration.

Skoda Auto operates as part of the Volkswagen Group and delivered more than 926,000 vehicles globally in 2024. The company has maintained operations in India for 25 years, initially entering the market with the Octavia sedan in 2001.
