Zero sales for Maruti Suzuki in April, exports 632 cars from Mundra Port
With the country in lockdown mode, Maruti Suzuki India has reported "zero sales in the domestic market in April 2020.
With the entire country in lockdown mode, all manufacturing plants and dealerships shuttered, the first big impact of the automobile industry has been announced.
Passenger vehicle market ledaer Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it had "zero sales in the domestic market (including sales to OEM) in April 2020. This was because in compliance with the Government orders all production facilities were closed."
The company adds that "following resumption of port operations, the first export shipment of 632 units was undertaken from the Mundra port, ensuring that all guidelines for safety were followed."
