WardWizard Innovations and Mobility plans R&D hub in Singapore
The R&D will focus on two, three, and four-wheelers and its scope of research will also include cell chemistry, pack assembly, BMS, motors, and other EV components
WardWizard Innovations and Mobility which makes the electric two-wheeler brand ‘Joy e-bike’, plans to set up a global R&D centre in Singapore.
The company will establish the Centre and global sales office under its wholly-owned subsidiary Ward Wizard Global Pte Ltd.
The R&D will focus on two, three, and four-wheelers and its scope of research will include cell chemistry, pack assembly, BMS, motors, and other EV components. It will also develop new battery standards together with leading certification agencies for enhanced safety.
Singapore-based Sunkonnect will be the technical knowledge partner at the centre. The Centre of Excellence will be headed by Lakshman Gurazada as the director of Operations.

The R&D facility will also work towards understanding the requirements of the local market in Southeast Asia and developing the products according to the last mile delivery operators. The company will also collaborate with leading global research institutions and companies in battery technology across the region.
