Great Wall Motor, China's biggest SUV maker, is reportedly in talks to set up a wholly-owned business in India, says a Reuters report quoted by TV channel, NDTV. If this investment materialises, it would be the first Chinese car maker to enter the country.
The company, China's eighth-largest car maker, sent a delegation to India recently, and is targeting manufacturing in India by 2016. Great Wall executives have met with SIAM representatives, the report has said.
