VRV Sriprasad quits Daimler India Commercial Vehicles

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has announced the departure of VRV Sriprasad as vice-president (Marketing, Sales and Aftersales) with effect from May 1, 2014. R Ramesh, who was earlier AVP (Aftersales) will take over as head (Aftersales & Exports) and V Sreeram, who was earlier AVP (Sales) will take over as head (Domestic Sales, Product Management & Network). Both functions will report to the MD and CEO of DICV.

Sriprasad, who has been associated with DICV since 2008, held the responsibility of setting up a strong base for marketing, sales and aftersales functions at the truckmaker, and was a key member of the team that was instrumental in deriving key strategies for DICV through the critical project phase. He was also closely involved with the development of product strategies and the setting-up of the dealership network.

Marc Llistosella, MD and CEO, DICV, said, “Mr Sriprasad has played a very important role in the creation of the BharatBenz brand and setting up a strong marketing, sales and aftersales team for DICV. His immense knowledge and experience has helped DICV to establish itself as a comprehensive player in the commercial vehicle industry. Despite the challenging market scenario and other roadblocks, Sriprasad has been successful in implementing a strong foundation for us to leverage on. I would like to wish him all success in his new endeavour.”
Sriprasad said, “I would like to thank the Board of Daimler Trucks for the confidence and trust bestowed on me. It has indeed been a great experience working with a dynamic team of professionals who have tirelessly worked with me to achieve the goals of the company. I would like to thank Mr Llistosella and other colleagues of the DICV management team for their strong support and co-operation throughout my tenure. Having become fully operational and with the completion of the launch of the entire BharatBenz range, I see it as an opportunity for the well-established team to take over.”
