Volvo Auto India opens new dealership in Pune
Flyga Auto, located in Baner, will cater to all of Maharashtra except Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
A day after announcing local assembly operations in India, Swedish premium carmaker Volvo Auto India opened a new dealership – Flyga Auto – in Pune today. The showroom was inaugurated by Tom von Bonsdorff, managing director, Volvo Auto India.
Flyga Auto, which is the Volvo Cars dealer for all of Maharashtra except Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, has its 12,000 square feet showroom in Baner. According to Volvo Auto India, the Pune dealership marks the beginning of a cohesive effort to build the brand in the industrial and automotive hub of Maharashtra.
Speaking at the inauguration, Tom von Bonsdorff said, “The opening of the Pune dealership underlines the brand’s intention to double our segment share in the medium term. We have a good equity for our brand in this part of India and our new partners Flyga Auto will help leverage the brand’s potential in the luxury car segment. The city is one of the major business centres in Maharashtra and our dealership in Pune will cater to the growing mini-metro and its catchment. The right partner in Pune is the critical part of the brand’s success and we are geared up to providing the best-in-class services to our customers here.”
Arun Aradhye, director, Flyga Auto, said, “Volvo cars are known for their world-class safety, distinguished Scandinavian luxury and humane technology. The dealership will sell the entire range of Volvo cars.”
