Visteon opens technical centre in Goa
The company said it intends to fill the majority of its vacancies with graduates from local universities.
Visteon has inaugurated its new expanded technical center in Goa. The centre has a seating capacity of 50 with the potential for further expansion and will contribute in developing advanced technologies in the areas of cybersecurity, Android-based infotainment, AUTOSAR, driver awareness systems, and autonomous vehicle solutions that can be applied to regional and global markets, the company said in a press release.
Visteon's president and CEO, Sachin Lawande, along with Visteon's executive team and India leadership team, attended the opening ceremony as well. Visteon recently signed an MOU with two colleges in Goa, the Goa College of Engineering and the Padre Conceição College of Engineering, to promote collaboration between industry and academia. The company said it intends to fill the majority of its vacancies with graduates from local universities.
Lawande said, “We will work with the universities to develop internship programs and prepare students for their professional journey. We are seeking 'diamonds in the rough' to mentor and guide, and look forward to them contributing significantly to the new technology development from Goa.”
