Van Buren Township, Michigan, August 30, 2013: Visteon Electronics, a leading supplier of vehicle cockpit electronics, has appointed Pratap Simha director of global software engineering, based at its software development centre in Chennai, India.
Building on Visteon Electronics’ strategy to enhance the in-vehicle user experience through software-driven features and functions, Simha is responsible for Visteon’s software development operations in Sophia Antipolis, France; Van Buren Township, Michigan, US; Chelmsford, UK; Kerpen, Germany; and Chennai, India.
Simha has more than 25 years of global software development experience, including proven abilities in systems and software development in the consumer electronics and connectivity domains, agile software engineering and working with third-party and open source software. Prior to joining Visteon, Simha served in various leadership positions at major consumer electronics companies, including Nokia, Motorola and Intel Corporation.
