VDA QMC appoints TÜV SÜD South Asia Academy as its partner in India

Pune, July 17, 2012: VDA QMC (German Association of the Automotive Industry - Quality-Management-Center) has appointed TÜV SÜD South Asia- Academy Division as its partner to deliver approved VDA 6.3 training and qualification modules in India.

TÜV SÜD South Asia - Academy Division would shortly deliver VDA 6.3 process auditor training courses with qualification programs wherein automotive auditors would be trained on basic principles, process auditing in the automotive industry which would end with the qualification examinations. Developed by the German Automotive industry, VDA 6.3 defines a process based audit standard for evaluating, analyzing and enhancing controls in a manufacturing organization's processes. The VDA 6.3 process audit is an assessment method to conduct process checks within a quality management system and assess capability and performance. The standard can be used by any organization, for either internal process audits or for evaluating potential or existing suppliers. The German Automotive OEMs have found this to be an excellent monitoring tool for their own and their supplier process monitoring. Revised in 2010, the standard was comprehensively restructured to reflect the changes to the ISO 9001:2008 standard and essential customer specific requirements of the automotive industry.

The training material for all VDA 6.3 trainings and exams will be provide from the VDA QMC (Licensor) and also all trainers and examiners of the TÜV SÜD South Asia Academy Division will be qualified from the VDA QMC.

Today, more than 2.000 VDA 6.3 auditors are certificated from the VDA QMC in this worldwide network.

At TÜV SÜD, it's our constant endeavour to bring best practices closer to the industry and add-value to the complete value-chain. We are honoured that VDA QMC has appointed us to conduct these training sessions in India," said Niranjan Nadkarni, CEO, TÜV SÜD South Asia (pictured).
