MUMBAI, 31 October 2013: With the festive season upon us, auto companies are going out to woo the buyer and increase footfall. Mahindra Reva, which launched the e2o last March has adding its own unique offer this festive season at the dealerships.
As part of this offer, regardless of the number of units (electricity) you spend to charge your e2o, the dealer will pay you Rs 5 for each unit at the end of each month for a span of three years. Mahindra says the total discount will work out to Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000 over the period of three years. Additionally, the dealer will also extend your warranty to five years or 60,000km, a benefit that usually costs Rs 18,000 at no charge to the buyer.
The e2o has sold around 140 units so far. The only state the car gets a green discount is Delhi where it costs about Rs 6lakh. The on-road Mumbai price is in the region of Rs 8 lakh.
Mahindra Reva is working on more powerful versions of the e2O, which will hit exports markets first in 2014. Some of them may even be introduced in the domestic market too.
