TVS targets sales in Central America, partners Honduras’ biggest business group

TVS will retail four motorcycles and two scooters; will be present in 40 Motomundo outlets and over 25 dealers across Honduras with 25 service outlets.

TVS Motor Company, which is looking to expand its export operation and currently ships its products to over 60 countries, has announced its partnership with Motomundo SA, one of the largest business groups in Honduras.

The company will initially retail four motorcycles – the Apache RR 310, Apache RTR 200 4V, Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 160 2V – and two scooters – the NTorq 125 and the Wego – in the Honduras, a key Central American market.

Motomundo will drive the sales and service of TVS products across all Motomundo stores in the country in a phase-wise manner. Motomundo stores will start with an exclusive outlet for TVS and will, within a year, will expand to three stores. TVS Motor Company says it will be present in 40 Motomundo outlets and over 25 dealers across Honduras. The company will also operate 25 service outlets to ensure complete service and spare support. The range of two-wheeler offerings will be supplemented with attractive retail finance schemes.

TVS revs up its export drive
TVS Motor Co is currently the No. 2 two-wheeler exporter from India, after Bajaj Auto. In the first 10 months of FY2020, the company has exported 572,749 units, which marks year-on-year growth of 13.46 percent.
