Dec 6: TVS Motor plans to expand its ‘Xpress Service’ programme, its one-hour periodic maintenance service initiative to dealerships across the country in the next one year. This quick vehicle servicing scheme was introduced about a year and half ago. Talking to Autocar Professional on the sidelines of the launch of 125 cc motorcycle ‘Phoenix’ in Bangalore, H S Goindi, president-marketing, TVS Motor said, “We wanted to have ‘Xpress Service’ in every dealership since it received good response from the customers.” The ‘Xpress Service’ has been introduced in 200 of the total 750 main dealerships across the country. In the next one year’s time, “Xpress service” will be introduced in all main dealerships,” he said. The 200 dealerships that offer the ‘Xpress Service’ option are located across 80 to 100 towns.
In addition to 750 main dealers, the company also has around 2, 500 sub dealers across the country. The sub dealers operate under main dealers. TVS Motor’s regular service centres are attached to its main dealers houses that have between 5 to18 bays depending on location and vehicle inflow. A single-bay in regular service station is dedicated for ‘Xpress Service’ in select dealerships. Currently, each of ‘Xpress Service’ division is handled by two trained technicians.
