MAN Trucks India appoints Joerg Mommertz as its new CMD
Joerg Mommertz, who has around 36 years of diversified management experience, began his career at MAN in 1991 as service manager and has held several management positions in Belgium, Scandinavia, Poland and Denmark.
Joerg Mommertz has joined MAN Trucks India as chairman and managing Director with effect from October 1.
Joerg Mommertz, who has around 36 years of diversified management experience, began his career at MAN in 1991 as service manager and has held several management positions in Belgium, Scandinavia, Poland and Denmark. In his last assignment, he was managing director for MAN Trucks & Bus Russia.
Commenting on his new role, Mommertz said: “There is a strong focus by the MAN Group in India and I believe that I will be able to facilitate and nurture MAN Trucks India with a most dynamic market focus on economic transport solutions. We will also continue to develop a strong and professional network offering customers a wide product range, service and business solutions.
MAN Trucks India, a fully owned subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG, Germany, has its production facility at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh from where it has produced over 23,000 vehicles for the domestic and international markets. It has a dealership network of over 60 locations across the country.
