Tech Mahindra has announced the launch of Automotive Aftermarket Suite, a platform to enable it to offer innovative solutions in telematics and sensor-based predictive maintenance, for thousands of cars worldwide.

The company plans to provide this solution – first displayed at the Automechanika Frankfurt 2014 in Germany –  as a managed service to OEMs, importers and dealer networks. According to a company statement, the Automotive Aftermarket Suite has several compelling features for the individual owner as well as fleet operator such as:

• Real-time transparency to the vehicle owner on vehicle health status

• Integrated process for predictive maintenance and pro-active service appointment

• A dedicated portal used by the dealer with all vehicle activities, warnings, faults and service history

"Our Aftermarket Suite has solutions that enable OEMs, dealers and other players to establish a strong ‘Connect’ with their end customers. The solution is feature-rich and scalable and demonstrates the Thought Leadership as well as deep experience of technology in automotive space,” said Aloke Palsikar, Global Head - Manufacturing Vertical, Tech Mahindra.

“This is a platform that shows the end-to-end nature of the Connected World and Connected Solutions theme combining our capabilities in product engineering enterprise mobility, infrastructure hosting, business intelligence and analytics and underscores our leadership in automotive and telecom verticals,” said Karthikeyan Natarajan, Global Head – Integrated Engineering Services, Tech Mahindra.

The company plans to launch this platform solution in Europe and US Markets initially and then gradually expand to other geographies. The Automotive Aftermarket Suite was also showcased at Automechanika Frankfurt.

Tech Mahindra’s automotive engineering practice has been providing a broad range of engineering services and solutions to the global automotive industry for over 15 years partnering with several OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across the globe on programmes ranging from body engineering, safety, infotainment to electronics.
