Pune, September 23, 2013: Tata Technologies, which provides product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering services through its partnership with Dassault Systèmes, has further expanded its principal suite of software solutions with the latest addition of Simulia realistic simulation applications that help minimise cost and time during the critical phases of product research and design.

Simulia applications deliver significant value during the foundational and advanced stages of processes such as finite element analysis, multi-physics, process automation, and design optimisation. The robust and scalable Simulia portfolio comprises of simulation applications such as CATIA Analysis, Simulia Abaqus product suite for Unified Finite Element Analysis, multi-physics solutions as well as lifecycle management solutions to manage large volumes of simulation data, intellectual property and other integral processes.

Samir Yajnik, president (Sales) & COO Asia Pacific, Tata Technologies, said: “This augmentation to our diverse solutions portfolio reiterates our commitment to provide superior value at all stages of research, design and development of engineered products. Simulia is a powerful tool that will help our existing and new customers gain a competitive advantage by accelerating the development time and improving product reliability and safety while fostering innovation.”

Commenting on the adoption, Dr Chandan Chowdhury, managing director - India, Dassault Systèmes, said, “The extension of the portfolio offerings to include Simulia applications will help Tata Technologies take a consolidated offering for product development to their customers. We are confident that this adoption will help Tata Technologies support its customers in delivering innovative, high-quality products to market faster. They will be able to use a virtual environment to test the quality and robustness of their products, avoid physical prototyping, reduce their product development cycle times and identify alternative reliable materials.”
