Speaking to Autocar Professional, P Telang, managing director, Tata Motors, said that the Nano and the Super Ace have been sent to Thailand for trial runs. He, however, didn’t comment on whether a Nano derivative will be produced in its Eco-car project in Thailand. Tata Motors had earlier received approval for the Thai government-promoted Eco-car project. The project requires the manufacturer to produce at least 100,000 units annually, and also enjoy various tax incentives for the project.
