The BMTC is in the process of purchasing 150 midi buses for transport in Bangalore city (Autocar Professional broke this story first on May 17). When contacted, BMTC’s managing director Anjum Parwez confirmed the participation of Tata Motors in the bidding but declined to provide more details.

Parwez said the Corporation is looking to buy ‘midi’ buses with specific technical features as they should look like regular larger buses. The ‘midi’ buses are expected to be introduced in BMTC’s fleet from October this year.
