Tata Motors Group’s global sales up 16% in August
The Group sold a total of 56,104 passenger vehicles in the reported month, up 25% YoY.
The Tata Motors Group, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, sold a total of 86,288 vehicles in August 2016, 16% more year-on-year (YoY). Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal stood at 432,192 units, up 13% over 2015-16.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and the Tata Daewoo range in August 2016 remained flat at 30,184 units. Cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for April-August 2016 were higher by 6% over the same period last year at 155,296 units.
Further, the Group sold a total of 56,104 passenger vehicles in the reported month, up 25% YoY, while the cumulative PV wholesales for the fiscal stood at 276,896 units, higher by 18% over April-August 2015.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 42,260 vehicles last month – 13,038 Jaguars and 29,222 Land Rovers. Cumulative sales for April-August 2016 were 217,009 vehicles – 61,979 Jags and 155,030 Rovers.
