Tata Motors Group’s global sales up 5% in April 2016

Tata Motors Group’s global sales up 5% in April 2016

The Tata Motors Group, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, sold a total of 81,333 vehicles in April 2016, up 5% over the same period last year.

The global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in April 2016 stood at 29,584 units, up 11%, YoY. Further, the Group sold a total of 51,749 passenger vehicles in April, posting a flat increase of 1% YoY.

Meanwhile, the global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover (including CLJR*) were 40,933 vehicles, which included 9,188 units of the Jaguar brand and 31,745 Land Rover vehicles.

The Group’s cumulative India sales, including passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles, stood 35,597 units, up 10% compared to the same month last year. This included 12,230 passenger vehicles and 23,367 commercial vehicles.

Meanwhile, Tata Motors Group had sold a cumulative total of 1,066,254 units in FY2015-16,an increase of 8% compared to the previous fiscal.
