Tata Motors enters Algeria with Indica and Indigo range

Tata Motors has launched its passenger vehicle range in Algeria which includes the Indica and Vista hatchbacks and the Indigo and Manza from its sedan offerings.

Tata Motors enters Algeria with Indica and Indigo range

Tata Motors has launched its passenger vehicle range in Algeria which includes the Indica and Vista hatchbacks and the Indigo and Manza from its sedan offerings. It has appointed SPA Elsecom for distribution and marketing of the vehicles in this north-west African nation.

Johnny Oommen, head- International Business, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, Our entry into Algeria is aligned to our Horizonext strategy and aims to provide the best customer experience – from the best vehicle experience to superlative purchase experience and after-market service support.” 

In association with its local Algerian partner, the company has established dealerships at Algiers and Oran, with plans underway to establish 10 additional sales and service centres, to cover important regions, by the end of this year. Algeria has been identified as a focus market in the Tata Motors global strategy. Tata Motors said the vehicles are all equipped with safety features of ABS and dual airbags and a host of comfort and convenience features.

Earlier this year, the company launched its passenger range in the Philippines. The ASEAN region is also a focus geography for the company which has a presence in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar. 

As per SIAM data, Tata Motors sold about 1300 passenger vehicles in the first three months of the current calendar. The company began its international journey in 1961 and today it has a presence in various countries across Europe, Latin America, Africa, Russia, Middle East, Asia and lately Australia.
