Suzuki Motorcycle India plans to roll out a mid-segment bike between 100-125cc, by 2010.

With more product launches in the pipeline, the company plans to invest around Rs 150 crore over the next three years to expand capacity and increase production to 400,000 units per annum by 2012 from the current 175,000 units.

At present, the company has two bikes — the Heat and Zeus — and the gearless scooter Access in the 125cc segment. About 70 percent of its sales come from the Access. Suzuki hopes to sell 175,000 vehicles by the year end, utilising its full capacity. In 2008, it sold 110,000 units. Capacity is to be increased to 250,000 units by mid-2009 and to 400,000 units by the end of 2012.
